Before BusinessInsider reported that Facebook launched a new mobile function :Find Friends Nearby, but Facebook confirmed that has cancelled the function.

Find Friends Nearby function can be used by user when they use mobile phone to log to look for nearby friends.The function can be displayed friend's name that near the user' location , but the user must pass a mobile phone to access the http://fb.com/ffn, and will receive the tips that request agreed to share location information .If the user agrees, it will return to the vicinity of a friend or a stranger's name who use the same function .

TechCrunch first reported the function on 24, June, but the Facebook has not announced officially .The function is launched by Facebook ,in the acquisition of Facebook mobile application developer Glancee ,afer two months.Glancee's service allows users to find nearby friends' name who have the same interest.Facebook did not talk about the service of privacy issues, but also did not disclose when announced publicly.

Facebook spokesman said: "we have been testing new features, now there is no more information to share."In addition, Facebook also issued a statement saying the same day: "this is not officially released, just products that are tested by some engineers ."
